engine preference

Iam a first time member and in the process of purchasing a Jeep Wrangler rag top...I am looking at a 2006 with the 4.0l 6 cyl. or a 2008 3.8l 6cyl.
I have been told by others that the 4.0l is a far better engine than the 3.8l. I am looking for Jeep owners opinion..thank you

4.0 is hands down the better motor. I've owned 3, current rig is a 2.5 4 banger and family has had one 3.8 in a WK. I like the 4.0 the best. I'd get the 06

yea i'd go with the 4.0L myself if i was looking at a newer wrangler, its a proven motor that'll go well over 300k miles if you take care of it.
