Meeting at the McDonalds was just our starting point however, if that's the only part of the meeting you guys can make then we can conduct the few club matters there so you guys can take part, such as the name vote and so on.
We need to identify someone that has already been to Badlands so we can start getting that organized for next month.
For those of you who have a Facebook account, send me a "friend invite" (Dave Bowles) so I can give you access to the group page I will be creating for the club, once we have a name voted on this Saturday. Now I know not everyone is a FB user, and thats fine, this is just for those members who do and would like to be linked to the club's FB page which will be a private group and only viewable by members of that group. A great place to post pics, notes, things for sale or in need, and so on.
Plus as you all know FB is one of the best communication tools around these days so why not take advantage of a free source ya know!
Ok Jeepers less than 24 hours till our first cruise/BBQ. For all those members who will not be able to join us, you will be missed!
As before I will send out pictures and a summary ,via email, of how the cruise/meet went and any take away notes. Here are some topics we will need to address during Saturdays meet/cruise.
-formal club name vote
-looking into a free web space service and or purchasing a cheap website (all on me no money needed from members!) so we have a place to post our schedule, pictures, communications, things for sale and so on. I could use face book if everyone has a Facebook account.
-badlands trip scheduled for September.
-club meet/activity suggestions for the remaining 3 months of the year.
-open the floor for comments and new business
Still interested in making a cruise out to Suds on the south side or wherever in order to get the Jeep out tonight and take advantage of the awesome weather. Anyone who is game let me know......if not I'll see you folks tomorrow!
Our club "private group" page has been created on Facebook, so if you have a FB account send me a friend request so I can grant you access to the group page. The page is private and provides space for chat, pictures and events are easily scheduled using their event calendar feature. It pretty much better than most free website resources we would have.
Majority of Indy Jeep Junkies chat traffic and related posts have been moved to the Facebook club page and or email distributions. For those members who still do not have a Facebook account some postings will be placed here but you will mainly need to refer to the emails that are sent.
If anyone reads this who is not currently a member of Indy Jeep Junkies and would like to join us please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org anytime.
Hello! I'm from INDY and interested in the Jeep Group, as well as possibly assisting with the organizations of the club. I'm actually a president of a car club in Indianapolis. We actually have a few jeeps in our club.
I personally have a 2007 Ford Mustang GT (Stage 1 Roush).
Also have a 2004 Ranger Edge.
But will be buying a new Jeep within the next month.
I actually could use a bit of advice from some people in the group.
Some of the options confuse me a bit. Wanted to talk with the group before making the big purchase. Any chance I could get invited into that FB group, or maybe better to post inside here?
I just read your post in regards to the group......feel free to contact me at email@example.com with questions, concerns or interest in the club.
We have a strong group of members who I am sure would love to assist you in any way possible regarding jeep purchases, equipment and aftermarket options and so on........I am proud to say we have some of the most dedicated and motivated members of any jeep club!
