Possible move to Indy...

Hey all, there is a strong chance I maybe moving to Indy from New Jersey in the next month or so, job change. Anything I need to know about vehicle restrictions, i.e. bumper widths, flare widths, lift height limits, etc.?

I'll be moving to the Avon/ West side of Indy area.

Any input would be appreciated.

None of those except the headlight height is all I know of. Except I don't know what the regulation is. Sorry

Thanks for the "Heads-up".
According to E-How, the height of the lamp must measure "not less than 24 inches and not more than 54 inches" from the center of the headlight, according to Indiana Code 9-19-6.

I appreciate the feed back.

Welcome to Indiana and the WestSide. Avon is a nice town. I am there several times a week. I live about 30 minutes on west of Avon.

Guns laws are very common sense here, but many LE's have their own personal interpretation of them. If you are a gun person, I STRONGLY suggest that you go to http://ingunowners.com (Indiana Gun Owners .com). Very seriously informed folks there (and some not so well informed of course). But definitely the straight scoop on living with firearms in Indiana. Over 30,000 members.

Good luck on your move.

Thanks Chuck,

I haven't made the move yet but it looks like I'll be heading out within the next month as long as everything goes as planned.

I appreciate the heads up. The link looks like it should be very helpful, with lots of good info. I look forward to checking it out a bit more in depth.
Hope to see you guys on the forum.

Thanks again.
Joe

Looks like the deal is moving forward so I should be out in a few weeks! I'll post when I get out there. Hopefully my Wrangler will be out real soon after that.

Hi Chuck,

I haven't been on for awhile so I didn't see your post. Yeah, I made it out! Unfortunately my Wrangler is back in Jersey with a cracked piston. I have to go back out soon and deal with that but it's kind of tough with a new job and no vacation time yet. Are there any good shops around the Avon area that can rebuild it for me? I mean, this is Indy!

Thanks
