What can my STOCK YJ do?

I am new to this Jeep thing. I have a 2007 4 door I just purchased and I am not sure how capable it is off road. It is my DD and has no Mods. 6sp, V6 18" tires- all stock
What is safe for me to try doing? what should I avoid? Is mild off-roading hard on it? will it mess it up?

thanks in advance

1) a 2007 4 door you is called a JKU.
2) you probably mean 18" wheels with probably 32" tires. (That's what I have. Stock Sahara set up)
3)mild off-roading is fine cause its trail rated. Just make sure when you go off roading have a way to get out of getting stuck like another jeep or winch
I would advise finding a local Offroad club and do some easy trails with them and get to know your jeep and what it can do by testing it.

JEEP ON!

Thanks man. I am in Fishers, NE side of Indy. Do you know of some light trails, a club or some local guys who I could go out with soon? Maybe even this weekend?
Again thanks for the clarifications

Hi,

Search indyjeepjunkies on Facebook we are a club centered around dd jeeps. So we do trails everyone can do. In fact there is a group trail run down in redbird this month. People are always down to run trails anytime though!

The Badlands in Attica has something for everyone. Good place to learn too! ... not too far from help if needed.

Don't go alone. Always have another vehicle with you.
Great place to learn.
Toys for tots is coming up there.
