50' led

I have question? can you just use the mounting brackets that come with the led light and drill them into your windshield frame?

LOL been there done that!

I'd be hesitant , ESP with a 50" LED. Expensive, heavy...hate to have that thing break free heading down the hwy after a day of wheeling!

think a bracket screwed into the side maybe 4inces long and bent to fit? I really don't see the sense in a $200 set of mounts that go all the way up the sides.

It's your light bar...$200 for mounts compared to a new light bar and then mounts. When I got mine I thought the same thing about mounting it directly.

Damn phone! Then when I started thinking about wash board roads, rock crawling and the physical forces that will affecting the mounts...I very quickly decided against it! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Thanks. I'm still thinking. I also don't have the bar that screws in the windshield thus I have that bolt still in there so I was thinking use that to hold bracket as well as 2 through the side. I don't know we shall see.
