I'm in NC until Monday, so I won't be able to make it to anything this weekend. :-(

I would but the ignition on my jeep decided to stop working. Fortunately I can pop the clutch to start it and get it back from Sandusky

Looking to rent a Jeep

Trying to get my wife excited about Jeep ownership. Anyone know where to rent a Wrangler in the Cleveland area?

Thanks! Pete

Don't know how serious you are, but a lot of dealerships will lend a serious buyer a Jeep for an extended test drive and sometimes even an overnight

i was starting upper rim, i knew the skid plate was rusty, i just didnt think it was going to fall apart that quickly, it took the whole weekend to get the damn gas tank back in, and to stop the fuel line leaking, i still leaking at the pump however, it cracked when the tank fell and i guess when i was dragging it, we slowed down the leak with a magnetic strip, and quick steel.

i still had fun those first 10 minutes though, and i got to ride with someone on the midnight ride

Hi all...I've been a member on WranglerForum.com for a while, but like someone mentioned previously, I've never thought to search for locals in my area. I'm from the west Cleveland area (Avon) and thought it'd be cool if there was a "Jeep Night" at a fairly local establishment. I like checking out other Jeeps and seeing what mods, etc. other Jeepers have done.

I'm not really at the point, YET, of taking her off-road. Although the way ODOT is repaving all of our roads around CLE it sometimes seems like we're off-roading.

I'll be watching this forum for any local Jeep "meets"

Something like that Topless meet sounds cool

I'd definitely like to check out southington and meet some fellow Cleveland jeepers sometime. My JK is pretty much stock and I don't really have any offroad experience, yet.. (Except some seasonal roads in Northern Michigan) But if any of you pros want to give me a lesson or two I'd be all ears

I'm stock as well, but you'd be surprised what you can get through. The trails go from mild to wild, and there's no risk of getting in too deep if you've been with someone who knows where to avoid. I ended up in some pretty nasty stuff last time and literally drove through the woods for 30 minutes to turn around haha. but it was a great time. My Jeep's still pretty, and my DD, so don't worry about trashing your ride. Trails are well maintained and the staff and people are great

I took my stock TJ with factory street tires there a few years back. Had a great time, didn't trash it, and got stuck only once on the mild trails.

^ ya i ended up babysitting a TJ in the backwoods. Pulled him out 2 or 3 times. I don't recommend the backwoods unless you've got some meaty tires, if not suspension work. You have to be more cautious what route you take or you could get in over your head (literally if you end up at the dunk tank ). Just stay out of the woods on the Upper Rim and stock is fine.

I wasn't trying to suggest that a stocker can run every trail. There's plenty there you can break your rig on if you're not careful😃.

oh ya, i was agreeing with you. Good looking Jeep btw! I'd be excited to take it out as well. I've got a lot of work ahead of me before I tackle the big stuff, but the fun is in the journey!
