I have a soft top and if you look at my thrrads you will see that I was very worried and was going to look for hard top. All of the posts were reassuring I didnt need a hard top and I must say they were right and no probs even with all the snow.

From the new guy.

I'm new but I have a soft top on my 94, and I am in the process of rounding up a hardtop and doors myself. I would think having a hardtop ONLY will get old on those hot summer days and evenings and taking it on and off will be a pain. From what I've learned be careful, CJ doors may fit but the latches are different. You can switch it over but then halfdoors wont work. I plan on using the soft top in the warmer weather and putting on the hardtop and doors in the fall and winter. I've heard it's quieter, warmer and the visibility is better. And you can roll down the window at the drive thru without the zipper being frozen or breaking. Just my 2 cents.

I have regular doors and manual windows no power so dont have the velcro, so no prob for me. I luv takin my top off. Would feel too restricted with a hard top in the summer for sure. To each his own.....

I must agree. Im on my second jeep, I have never owned a hardtop. Always soft. I have a trektop on my 2dr jk and I will never have any other top except for the trektop nx. Its so easy and versatile. The fastback look is just a plus. the ease is the best part

Just like Dawn, I was dead set on a hard top, but am really happy I didn't get one. Where do you live? I'm in LA and the 2 months out of the year when it's cold don't bother me - the heater is a beast. The soft top is too easy to take down yourself. Either way, get what you want and you'll enjoy it.

Well we are in the OHIO jeep thread!

I have a soft top on mine and live up on the lake. Lake effect snow is no match for the soft top. I love the versatility and it doesnt get too cold with the soft top on.

Then there you go. Get whatever top you'd like. Apparently the snow is no match for a soft top.

Guess what, my sister, dad and rest of my relatives live in California. Irvine, Anaheim, Laguna beach etc... so go there frequently. No worries.
