Anyone going to JeepSkool for 4th of July? Anyone been there before? The forums on their website make it sound pretty sweet. How is the training? My Jeep is brand new and I am not interested in risking it on more advanced trails, do you think this will be frowned on? I really just want a 4x4 101 and to test the Jeeps capabilities. From what I read, I am sure I'll be hooked, I guess what I'm wondering is, is this the best place to take my brand new jeep out for the first time?
Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!
I'm interested in this too. I'm in the mood to bust something. I'm getting sick of the wheelin' spots I go to all the time.
I'm just curious how strict they are with the full size spare issue. I don't have a full size spare. I'm not ruining my tailgate either slapping one on and bouncing the sh*t out of it either...or getting blasted in the back of the head by a tire in the back seat.
they are pretty strict when it comes to necessary equipment on the trails. They are pretty lenient when it comes to stuff you can borrow from someone else such as recovery gear, but not when it comes to spares. Ya, you need a full size spare.
Also, they will not bash you if you are new to the off-road world. They will take you step by step and you WILL get hooked! I have a friend that works there. Everyone there is awesome.

I'll be there! It will be my first time at JeepSkool but I've been a member of their forum for 18 months. Sounds like a great group and from what I have heard they will take you step by step and help you however they can.
Hope to meet some of you there. See ya at Haylett's store before 9am on the 3rd!
I get my Commander guys together there twice a year. 4th will be 10 visit to the property. Sign in and class (Property Rules and basic 911 info) takes about an hour. There are things for every skill level. There is a newbie (think 1st time to property or first time wheelers) ride they offer after the class or you can just go on your own.
If you're planning to attend Saturday night is live music, fireworks and complete destruction of some poor vehicle on the gun range.
Bring your fishing pools and guns too! The property offer more than just wheeling, but then again so does the state of Ohio.
Here's the link to some of the pics from this weekend. What a blast - literally. They did a tribute Saturday night to WWII firepower - complete with .308 mini gun (3000 rounds per minute) 37 ml cannon - and 50 cal mounted to an armored assault vehicle. They lit the place up!
We are proud to offer a wheeling spot that is 100% SAFE-LEGAL-FUN for FAMILIES.
JeepSkool is a place were the noobie can ask questions without the fear of being flamed or ridiculed for their experience(s), or lack of. We have an awesome staff of volunteer trail leaders that take the time to help ALL our guest, whether they are new to the sport, or an old salty pro. We ALL stand on equal ground at JeepSkool.
Feel free to come out and check us out this weekend.
