track/sway bar removal

Sooo any ideas why the engineers that designed the yj made the rear track bar have hex wrench heads? Any tips on removal, that do not involve a sawzall? I used am impact gun for the sway bar on the passengers side, but it wont fit in there for the drivers side. Thanks in advance!

I used an Allen head for mine. I just found the right size and hammered it in there and put a wrench on it to hold it while I broke the nut loose. Dumbest engineering ever!
