Thought I'd at say hi....Bellevue here, not sure if anyone's close, but I'm a Newb and use my '02 as a DD. I'd like to do some wheeling, but not sure where to do it. I know the farmers get ticked if you rut their fields!! Drop me a line if you've got ideas!

There had been a few members that lived in Bellevue. Both were in the neighborhoods behind the Angry Lizard. I haven't seen any of them lately. When your ready to go wheeling look at our ride schedule on neo4x4.com.

For all you Toledo peeps check out Bundy Hill. It's 1hr from Toledo up in Michigan. I'm from Sylvania but live in Columbus now. When I go home sometimes I go up to Bundy Hill with my friend from high school who has a jeep. It's a fun place! Also checkout northwest Ohio crawlers jeep club. My buddy is a member of that club and he loves it. They hold tons of jeep events and go on group trips all over the country. I've met a few of the people in his club and they all seem like a good group of people.

I believe they have a FB page and a website under the same name. They are tuned into the noobie crowd, but they also have stuff for the more advanced rigs.

When you're ready to step up check out the ride schedule on NEO4x4.com. We have lots of fun and like the Marines we leave no man behind.
Is this the jeepskool grounds?

yep, it sure is. We have a decent group from NEO 4x4 heading out there tomorrow morning. Meeting at the pavilion between 9-9:30 if anyone feels like coming out to wheel.

I thought I read recently that the guy who runs Jeep Skool lost rights to the land and that they are looking for a new location? Did they work something out?

No, I'm sure if Kelly finds a new location he will turn the JS website back on and start spreading the word. Lots of rumors going aroung the different sites, but that is all just hear say.

Sorry I'm a bit confused by your post. If you saying the JS site is down does that mean that he did lose the land? If so is this weekends trip to that place a separate event?

I may have to check out Bundy Hill. Nothing but flat lands here in BG, except for the giant hill on the golf course... I don't know if they want me climbing that...

That may be frowned upon...but if they can't make it up the hill they can't catch you

Yankee Lake isn't bad if your looking for a quick fix of wheeling, but yea mainly mud and mud holes, small rock garden area, and they do have a small set of trails there.

Otherwise check out Wellsville or Southington offroad in Garretsville, OH. I believe they are open the first weekend each month. Yes it's the old JS grounds, but the land actually belongs to Southington Hunt Club.

From Wauseon, Ohio. Purchased a 2002 a month ago. Drive it to work in downtown Toledo every day, unless the weather is nice enough to ride the Harley.

I just wanted to say hello all.. I am new in the Columbus area. Been here since October and haven't gotten on any trails. I only ever did a few small trail in Texas, where I'm from originally. I'm waiting for delivery of my 2012 Rubicon (sweet!) and I definitely want to find some places here to get some dirt on her. I am willing to make a trip to Bundy Hill or Southington in the near future. I am unsure of my work schedule, so I will need advance notice if anyone else is going. So, lets pick a weekend within the next month or two and plan a trip.

Anyone Game for that?

I scrub mine down with a scrub brush with dawn dish soap. Then I used best top protector spray on it. Ive kept some tops alive for 7-8 years doing this. If yoh scrub it and don't use the bestop spray, it will fade bad. Atleast mine did. I do this off the jeep, with the top spread out in the driveway.

I'm not being a smart ass when I say that I usually just let the rain rinse off day to day dirt. If its been wheeling, I go to one of this DIY carwashes and spray it down with soap and water then rinse. A little lubricant of some sort on the zippers and that's really about it. I've gotten some pretty long life out of tops doing nothing more.

Hey guys and gals,

I'm from just north of Cincinnati, in Hamilton, Ohio. Just moved to Columbus for work.

I adopted my Jeep last August. 2010 Wrangler Sport. Working on making improvements, slowly but surely. Anyone know of any get togethers coming up near central Ohio?

I went to Miami University back in 07-08 so I was right by Hamilton for awhile.

I go to Bundy hill all the time, its an ok park near Toledo way from you, but don't know any local spots to you. I grew up in Ashland county, but moved long ago and all our local spots there got shut down. I think they re opened jeep skool, now called southington offroad, that would just be up to the east of ya, check em out on the internet.

Southington Offroad, Dover Dirt Trails and Wellsville are the only things close around. Check out Northeast Ohio 4x4 Forums -- we are always planning trips there and to other places as well.
