Most of the places in Lorain County are on private land. Some people still hit the dump out in Lorain, but its not exactly legal. You'll just have to hunt around to see if anybody will let you go out on their land before they plant.

I'm from Dublin Ohio, I was born and raised here. I've always been in to running the hell out of my vehicles. I started off with racing my s10 xtream truck to now off roading(so far just mudding and little trails) with my 97' Tj sport(3.5 lift, drop pitman, quick disconnect sway bar, permanent locker in rear, 33x12.5, 15x10, 8500 lb winch). I'm running in to a little bit of problems with the fact that there's a lot more I need to make sure that when I go trail running that I don't break something or get stuck. Right now I need to find some land to go on(easy land) just so I can test out my jeep. I really don't know what all my jeep and handle and would love to find out.
ps. this is a out pic of my jeep. I'll get a new one on soon.

Head over to Haspin Acres...750 acres of mild to wild trails. It's about an hour from Cincy.

Anyone have a d44 rear that can fit in a 97 tj sport? I just broke my right rear axle shift in d35. Looking to up grade if not at least graded axles for my d35?

There are a bunch of us in Central Ohio and Cleveland that get together on a regular basis... We are spread out over other forums though...
Our Next Meet and Greet is on June 23rd Just south of Columbus at the South Drive in Theatre...
The next trail ride is on June 9th... I'm not able to make that one but pm me and I'll put you in contact with the leader for that ride...

Hmm looks like your 3hrs from Garrettsville, OH where Southington Offroad is. It's East of you and the first weekend of every month its open to public for wheeling.

Otherwise it looks like the Badlands in Attica, In is about 4hrs west of you.

Redneck off road mudden fun place

For all those close to youngstown ohio look up Yankee lake. Its an awesome place to get muddy and go off roading. They have it every Friday night. They do have a website so go check it out.

Yankee Lake is not that extreme.... mainly mud and mud bogs, small rock garden and a trail ride. The trails really are not that bad, just watch out for some of the mud holes there and the trails, cause you can easily get buried quick.

Thru what??? the small trail system... yea that's fine, I've done it on 33's no problem. But like I said what out for some of the puddles and mud holes.

Watch the guy or people in front of you to get an idea of depth. If your go and no one is in front of you, stop and check the depth then with a stick or branch.

It may be further than you want to run out of, but, Ross county has Southern Ohio Jeepers Association.

I always thought the same thing about Yankee but last week I went and lemme tell ya.....this place is amazing....the mud pigs where all the trails let out is easy to navigate your way around so you don't get into anything you shouldn't and there were plenty of stock wranglers going around that area. There were also stock geos flying around there

I've been to Southington Off-Road Park (even back when it was JeepSkool / ATVSkool) a few times with my 4-wheelers. Haven't taken the Jeep there yet, but I see that they are no longer doing the ATV weekends due to insurance.

Where trails let out is not easy at all to navigate thru!! U must have got lucky! Congrats cuz I swamped mine .. As well as the two other jeeps that came with. Tractor was pullin everyone out.. Plus they put cement in the mud! I still have mud clumps caked everywhere! I wouldn't recommend that place unless you have at least 30" tires! Southington off road and wellsville is where it's at!

Hey! New to the site from the Akron/Canton area. Bought my first Jeep (TJ) two weeks ago and checked out Wellsville last weekend. I see chatter about Southington and Yankee Lake, but nothing on here about Wellsville (but I didn't read all the pages).

Anyone been to Wellsville trails?

I think Put in Bay Would be a great place for a meet ad greet. Kalahari has a huge parking lot that could be used too. I am in Norwalk and always looking for jeepers near me and a place to find some trails close to home.

I'll be moving back to Ohio (Mansfield) next summer, bringing my Jeep and GSA!

Need to offroad both as Germany has ZERO off-road opportunities.
