Just saying I have seen forecasts for saturday that includes rain all day as well as just overcast and foggy either way...Give in to the muddy side.

Or maybe your golf clubs will all be missing

But I will have no knowledge of this "situation" if it happens.

I'll try to make it down there... Just got my Jeep last Saturday and I'm itching to take it to the trails. It's a black 2-door JKR, all stock (for now).

Welcome, mine is stock, for all intents and purposes and I'm a newby as well.

Awesome, then welcome to you too! I'm thinking I'll install a winch and light bar at some point, but as for lifts/tire upgrades, I'm not quite that dedicated! Looking forward to my first offroad adventure though. (I did some mudding in my '98 Cherokee, but no real trails.)

Cheers, all!

Tomorrow's forecast is fit for ducks and Jeeps only...

I'm just saying....

Just back from Bundy Hill. Weather was good, with plenty of mud from last night. Lots of fun... Maybe I'll try an easier trail next time though. The Jeep can handle way more than I can!

It was good meeting all of you!

Bundy Hill was a BLAST!!!

I had a GREAT time. The ACE rock rails got a try out, several times! Now I want to get a belly pan, for my own peace of mind. The Sahara and I went places I never would have gone on my own. Having three experienced Jeeps in front of me, challenged me to follow their lead. Oh... Oh... now I want a video camera too! Here are the two pics I took today.

This Cherokee was heavily modded. Tried to climb that hill, after watching the ATV's, and dropped his drive shaft.

Thanks to my Wrangler Forum friends for inviting me. I had a great time, let's do it again!

Just got back myself, after stopping to hose the mud off in the front yard. Thanks to the guys from WLB for the invite. I finally caught up with, and met a few of y'all at about 2:30.

Looks like I missed some of the tougher trails, after lunch. On a positive note I made it home in plenty of time to make it to our family pizza night, attaboys from the wife!

I can't believe how many people showed up over the course of the day - I had a great time.

Nothing breaks the ice better than the guy organizing the trip being the first one to need a strap! (Darn all terrain tires)

A motley crew

This is the underneath view of the picture Stan posted - by far the worst damage of the day (due in no small part to over-aggressive application of the skinny pedal). What you can't see is the grenaded spider gears in his front axle - he was dead in the water, broke at both ends. Wrinkled both front upper control arms too.

He was the first towed back to the parking lot, but not the only one. Ed (red JK) lost his T-case linkage after doing a nice job negotiating a narrow v-notch. We got it shifted back into 2WD for the ride home, but he is going to need a replacement rubber nipple thingy for the end of the cable (no doubt a $37 dealership part)

9960 Chicago Rd (US-12), Jerome, MI. It's in Hillsdale county, pretty close to Jackson. We drove from Williamston, and it took just over an hour. I commute to Novi every day, so I'm used to it.

Bundy Hill after action damage report

I had a BLAST!!! Tested my ACE rock rails and my front (plastic) skid cover.

ACE rock rails required some paint on the passenger side but suffered no other damage.

Front skid cover took a GOOD hit climbing a step rise. There is a puncture on the right side and both right side fasteners are missing. Looks like a candidate for upgrading.

Yeah, just finished cleaning and inspecting mine. Got some rubbing to touch up on the passenger side rock rail too.
Also, nerfed up the right front lower control arm and mount a bit. Nothing that can't be straightened. There's some grind marks all down the right side skids, all the way past the rear shock mount (lucky I didn't tear that off). Those were some big, unevenly placed boulders! Great fun! Can't wait to run that trench again!

This is my son playing in the dirt pile that came from my transfer case skid plate. No real damage just tweaked my front bumper a little. I told my wife I needed a new one, but she didn't go for it.(go figure)

Looks like a good time. My yj should be up and running by next summer and would love to join you guy's next year. Never been to Bundy Hill. Check out the Mounds in Mount Morris. Another cool place for Jeepers!
