And here I'm missing it! I headed south to visit family and pick up the rest of my stuff. We're coming back on Friday, and I'm guessing the rental truck won't handle snow as well as the Jeep.

Went out today. Very disappointed, my favorite roads were all plowed in Oakland. County. Drove all the way to Lapeer County before I found un-plowed roads.

We have a big event coming up in late January, 2-3 inches every few days would work out great!

need more places for snow wheelin' in MI with some publicity to help the economy up there.....it is so beautiful and rustic lookin' and great to drive the trails any time of the year.....I don't understand why your state doesn't promote and encourage wheeling in MI...the same way they advertise MI for the summer time!!

Got back on Saturday evening, and all the roads around here were plowed (also Oakland county). Even our driveway was plowed! (Wife's parents came by to take care of the house and cats.) Oh well... maybe Bundy Hill has some snow.

Anyone else get a little bummed when the roads get plowed? I sorta like forging my own path.

Bummed, no, I kinda like the comfort in knowing that emergency services vehicles (basement savers) have an easy access to where they need to go. Not to mention it's just about the only tangible evidence of your property tax dollars at work. Don't want plowed roads hit the seasonal roads, two tracks, and orv routes.

I miss every single snowfall so far this year. Jeep was in the shop. The amount of jealousy towards you all is palpable. Now that I have it back it better snow some more.

Too late the January thaw is starting. Wait for February.

Snow? What snow? It's all melted here with the rain we had this morning. Suppose to get some light accumulations by Sunday.

My Jeep needs allot of TLC before I can get it out and enjoy it on the dirt roads and trails. ALLOT of TLC.

if you want snow come on up north! there's parts of the UP that have seen over 3 feet in the last week or so, and plenty of unplowed roads

I had fun this last weekend. Drove down the dirt roads over to Lake 14. The road to the public access was not plowed. So I drove only so far in four wheel high and my Jeep just spun the wheels. Shifted in low range and it clawed it's way to the lake with ease. There's about a foot of snow on the ground then. Couple other ice fishermen were out on the lake.

of course it snows the night before we have to get up at 3am for our flight to Vegas. needless to say the 8 inches of snow cancelled the flight, but we got on a later one. bummed I'm going to miss the fresh snow, but I'm sure Vegas will be worth it

Driving down a snow covered dirt road (not plowed) pulled up the parking brake and did a HUGE Batman skid
Jeeps may cost a lot, but in the end are so priceless

Here... Here

Still waiting for the money on my totaled pickup. T-bone an SUV that refused to stop back in Feb 3rd. Now my Jeep has become the daily driver, but I'm not totally complaining. Other than buying gas for it, costing $45 to $50 per tankful - topped off of course. With the new tires it's doing quite well. Steering is still somewhat squirrely though. May be just the way Jeeps are.

Got about 4" of new lake effect snow over here this weekend. Went for a drive this afternoon on the back roads.

Tomorrow I get the new heater core. Be nice to get at least a little bit of heat out of the vents. I got cardboard in front of the radiator. Helps the engine warm up faster, but didn't do much to getting any heat out of the vents.

the entire northern UP is getting hit with a ton of snow today, with blizzard warnings for the keweenaw peninsula. probably should have taken the wrangler to work rather than my 2wd ranger..

+1 on the lake effect Snow

went weeling back to the well for fresh artisan drinking water today
the fun part is its fluffy snow and easy to push your way threw
any were from 3-5' deep here up on the county line on seasonal roads

yeah the storm we got dropped up to 3' of snow in some areas, and they had to shut the highway because there were up to 12' drifts that cars were driving into. M28 was shut down for two days before they could get it cleared.
