Bruce ll got bored today with all this snow. He tried his hand at paracord. These are the door limit straps he made.

Pics don't do them justice, they look great. He is working on a set of grab handles now.

He finished one last night and is working on another one today so I should be able to get some installed pics. He has wove and unwove the first one several times until he got the pattern he liked. He figures to have $16 in a pair. I ordered some black and orange para last night. He's going to make me limit straps and grab handles. The limits will have metal quick discos. I have full, half, and tube doors so I want them easy to remove.

How sturdy are the quick disco's? I was concerned about how good the handles would be if you really have to pull and hang on to them. That's the only reason I haven't made any yet. If they work good I will probably order them and put together some

I haven't got the discos yet just ordered yesterday. They're made out of nickel and will only be used on the door limits.
Here's the grab handle.

He uses a strong Velcro strap to connect the rings around the windshield brace. I am impressed with the strength. I can hang on it. Bruce ll uses 7 strand 550lbs min break strength para and it is wrapped 4 times at the weakest point. I sound like a salesman lol.

Hey, what are the odds? Posting from Tecumseh, myself. Lived here for 20 years. Im 25 and I got my first Jeep 4 years ago this April- an '03 TJ 4.0/ 5spd. It is my daily driver and occasional wheeler.

I now bleed Jeep, and I bought an '89 YJ project last summer. (search for my thread in the YJ Build forum "Nightmare Project") Ive spent all winter obsessing over research and buying parts and will be putting it together as soon as everything thaws out. Ive taken my TJ to Bundy Hill a few times and did some mild to intermediate trails and played in the mud at Clayton mud pit. But I got tired of breaking things on my DD, so im building the YJ to beat the out of!

I'm interested in joining you guys for some Jeep talk and some wheeling. Since I got my Jeep I've wanted to join a local club and get some meets set up.

I think we're all ready for spring, and some Jeepin! We haven't met up in a month or so as everyone's been busy. What works best for you guys breakfast, dinner, evening, weekend, etc? I'll get with Downforce and kjwhite to see when they're avail. When this snow melts we should set up a celebratory wheeling trip to Bundy Hill or the Mounds.

Weekends I generally can make free time. During the week I am free in the evenings after about 5.30 except Mondays.

I agree, this winter has been very depressing. Let's meet up soon to get plans together.

Looks like Kevin, possibly Derek, and I along with our wives will be meeting in Tecumseh on Sunday afternoon about 1:30. We may grab a late lunch there or cruise to Dundee for vittles. Anyone is welcome to come. More details to follow. If anyone has any other ideas post em up.
Bruce
