New to Michigan....

I am currently moving from El Paso, Texas to New Baltimore, Michigan and am wondering about any local Jeep/4x4 clubs in the area. I just separated from the US Army and just got a job with Chrysler. I am only a little familiar with New Baltimore (my wife is from there) so I'm not sure about surrounding cities and proximity. I'm leaving behind Ol'Skool 4x4 here in El Paso and some fantastic trails in neighboring New Mexico. The desert here is amazing for off-road and camping, going to miss it. Hoping to find a good crew of Jeepers up in Michigan. I'm not really into mudding, but I love camping and trail runs.

Ehren

First, Congrats on the Job. I work there also.
Second, you're going to have to change your username!

There are no trails in SE Michigan. Up near the middle of "Da Mitten" is the place to go.
West Branch is great for trail riding. St. Helens has a scramble area. Rocks and Valleys is an offroad park in Harrison, it has something for everyone.

We are picking up a Little guy camper tomorrow, so we will be doing a bit more weekend trips.

Thanks for the info, I was looking at Rocks and Valleys and Bundy. That's disappointing that there are no trails close, unfortunate when your rig gets about 8 mpg.

Can't change the user name, I know it's Tiger country, but I'm from Boston and the wife is now a convert, although I did make a deal with my father-in-law that since my wife switched teams, I would route for U of M.

Thanks guys, hopefully my first Michigan winter doesn't kill me. I've been in the desert for about a decade.

There are quite a few clubs out of southern Michigan that do regular trips with camping and trails! What lies beyond, thumb jeeps, trail creepers, cala offroad to name a few! Also if you check out GLFWDA (Great Lakes four wheel drive association) they have a list of clubs also! Welcome to the mitten state! Almost all of the clubs I named have Facebook pages so check it out!
