SE Jeep Clubs?

Looking to join a local Jeep club, but lots of clubs online are no longer active. Anyone know of any good clubs to join in the Metro Detroit area or within a reasonable driving distance area?

What kind of wheeling are you looking to do, and with what sort of people? That's really the thing that matters. Some clubs cater to one type of person or one type of wheeling, which may or may not work for you. I come out for the larger trail maintenance days, because that is something that I think is important and it is the bigger clubs that organize those events, but I wheel/explore/camp alone or with two other friends.

Soldier of Fortune Offroad is local to you, and seems to be reasonably active in trail maintenance, trail rides, etc.

I appreciate the advice and because we are pretty new to this, I never thought about what kind of trails or roading we want to do. We are totally stock at the moment, but we just got back from the Jamboree last weekend and did fine. We'll most likely be getting the lift and bigger wheels within the next couple months. I know this will play big into what types of trails our Jeep can handle. What did you mean by coming out for "larger trail maintenance days". Thanks for explaining...I'm still learning the lingo and how these clubs work. I'll also check out the club you mentioned.

SE Michigan is also home to Mud Sweat and Gears, organizers of Drummond Off-Road Adventure (DOA) up on DI every summer.

Jump on greatlakes4x4.com. There's a few clubs around.

Kayt, looks like I'm just a few minutes from you guys. There's a few jeeps in the area. Northern Ohio crawlers I believe is one of the clubs down there.
