We did this last year. On Memorial Day mayville holds a parade. All jeeps are welcome to join us in the parade. We will be going to lunch after the parade then heading to the mounds to get them all dirty. Prior to the parade we all will be meeting in the rear parking lot at the high school in mayville for a quick blessing of the jeeps. Chris(seven services) will probably post later with more details
Just a bump, this is still on for Memorial Day. Looks like we'll have a few more Jeeps this year!!!
We are meeting at the Mayville High School, in Mayville MI at 8:15am. We'll have some social time and line up for the parade about 8:45am. Its a Memorial Day/Military based event. Jeeps are def. part of the heritage of our great armed services. Fly your flags if you have 'em!!! Most of the parade is VFW, Various Scout Groups, any other services that wish to participate and the Jeeps.
The parade is only about 1.5 miles all together. Takes about 15-20 minutes cruisin'. After the parade we'll head down to the Millington Inn for breakfast then over to the Mounds in Mt. Morris for a morning/afternoon of fun if aynone wants to take part.
Just a reminder for those attending the Mayville Memorial Day parade Monday;
8:00-8:15am, Meeting at Mayville High School back parking lot
8:40'ish, Line up for parade
9:00am, parade rolls out

9:30'ish, head to Millington Inn for group breakfast (or split off if you need to head out)
10:15-10:30'ish, head to the Mounds ORV park in Mt. Morris for a few hours of wheeling
You will want to bring;

Fire Extinguisher (not mandatory on this trip but always recommended)
Camera if you want pics
Handheld radio (standard public band) we usually run channel 3, 8 or 17 depending. Not mandatory, but bring one if you have it.
Notice; you must have a valid 2013 Michigan ORV sticker on your rig to get into the Mounds ORV park. They can be obtained anywhere that sells hunting licenses for $16.50. The Mounds is an ORV park for all sorts of things. From stockers up to crawlers, there are all different types of obsticals and terrain. From taking a nice trail cruise to watch for wildlife all the way to bogging in a couple feet of mud or climbing the rocks & sewer pipes! A bumper flag stick is not required for the Mounds. Just be sure to watch for faster, smaller ORVs!
