Thumbjeeps.com mayville memorial day parade.

We did this last year. On Memorial Day mayville holds a parade. All jeeps are welcome to join us in the parade. We will be going to lunch after the parade then heading to the mounds to get them all dirty. Prior to the parade we all will be meeting in the rear parking lot at the high school in mayville for a quick blessing of the jeeps. Chris(seven services) will probably post later with more details

I think you have it backwards - shouldn't you go to the Mounds first to get ready for the parade?

Just a bump, this is still on for Memorial Day. Looks like we'll have a few more Jeeps this year!!!

We are meeting at the Mayville High School, in Mayville MI at 8:15am. We'll have some social time and line up for the parade about 8:45am. Its a Memorial Day/Military based event. Jeeps are def. part of the heritage of our great armed services. Fly your flags if you have 'em!!! Most of the parade is VFW, Various Scout Groups, any other services that wish to participate and the Jeeps.

The parade is only about 1.5 miles all together. Takes about 15-20 minutes cruisin'. After the parade we'll head down to the Millington Inn for breakfast then over to the Mounds in Mt. Morris for a morning/afternoon of fun if aynone wants to take part.

High School is 6250 Fulton St Mayville, MI 48744.

Just a reminder for those attending the Mayville Memorial Day parade Monday;

8:00-8:15am, Meeting at Mayville High School back parking lot
8:40'ish, Line up for parade
9:00am, parade rolls out
9:20'ish, parade ends
9:30'ish, head to Millington Inn for group breakfast (or split off if you need to head out)
10:15-10:30'ish, head to the Mounds ORV park in Mt. Morris for a few hours of wheeling

You will want to bring;
Flags if you want to decorate your Jeep for the parade
Water/drinks/snacks for the morning/afternoon
Fire Extinguisher (not mandatory on this trip but always recommended)
Camera if you want pics
Handheld radio (standard public band) we usually run channel 3, 8 or 17 depending. Not mandatory, but bring one if you have it.

Notice; you must have a valid 2013 Michigan ORV sticker on your rig to get into the Mounds ORV park. They can be obtained anywhere that sells hunting licenses for $16.50. The Mounds is an ORV park for all sorts of things. From stockers up to crawlers, there are all different types of obsticals and terrain. From taking a nice trail cruise to watch for wildlife all the way to bogging in a couple feet of mud or climbing the rocks & sewer pipes! A bumper flag stick is not required for the Mounds. Just be sure to watch for faster, smaller ORVs!

Right now it says sunny and 72.... trying to decide if I'm gonna pull the top and doors for the day... leaving Midland to head that way about 6:30am might be a tad bit chilly....

Any other Jeepers heading down from the Tri-Cities or points north? Maybe we could meet up along the way...

Washed and ready, except for pulling the panels and adding the flags... Seems silly to wash it, when were heading to the dirt... But it is what it is! LOL

^^ hahaha... GOTCHYA~! And yes, it was a good time... Joshua Pines is the name of the cabin property in East Tawas

Looking forward to MANY more~! It was great to meet some new friends and see a new place to head to once in a while... need to come down to your property to help you lay all those railroad ties and run around your course... let me know when you need some help in a week or two.

Sorry bro... I'm trying to get the folks in charge here to change it to ABNORMAL-JK... My hood badges that say that from Pixeldecals should be here before the weekend... Seems fitting.

Anyway... Call me whatever you want, just not ever late for dinner :-)

defanitely not late for food. I'm with ya brother! I sure seem to be getting a positive response about making sure eating is a high priority on most of our runs lol. Its all about the food lol.

So far we've eaten at a ton of places for sure but in the past yr. I'm remembering:

Millington Inn - Millington
Frankenmuth Brewery - Frankenmuth
Fireside Inn - Port Austin
Brians - Lapeer
Desi's Taco Lounge - Oscoda

Got to be more lol.
