CALLING ALL SOUTHERN MAINE JEEPERS!! Let US revive this page!

Hello. In April, I picked up my first Wrangler (2nd Jeep) and I'm looking to find like minded JEEPERS who would like to try and get together once a month for some trail riding / jamboree type activities. All are welcome. We are lucky here in Maine due to the terrain we have to work with and enjoy. From Maine's rocky coast to the mountains and every trail in between, I would like to build a core group to share the experiences with. I live in Portland.

If your interested, drop. Line here. Hopefully by August we can get a group together. Cheers!

Hello, I'm new to the forum, and new to the Jeep community. In June my wife got a 2013 JK sport and we liked it so much I ended up getting a 2014 JKU sport . I live about an hour from Portland in Lebanon. My son lives in Portland..goes to school there so I go up that way often. But it would be nice to get together with some people. As of now my wranglers are pretty much stock...but I'll be slowly upgrading as I go. Right now I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what lift/tires I want. Nothing real crazy. But let me know.

Count me in also! I just moved back to Maine and definitely want to take my jeep out and enjoy the country side.

Hey folks. I realize this thread is a bit old, but I Wouldn't mind hitting some trails occasionally with a small family-friendly group. I'm in the Portland area as well and don't really know of any good trails around here

Sounds like a great idea. Count me in. I'm in Standish about 20 miles west of Portland.

I know a pretty decent trail in Biddeford, mostly large puddles of varying depths and bottoms, with some off-camber sections thrown in for fun. Maybe we can get a convoy together sometime.

Right on. I'm good with some light to medium trailing.... I'm not quite geared up for anything too hardcore anyway. (Yet)

I may go pre-run it this weekend to get an idea of what it's like, since I haven't been more than about 1/4 mile in it in around 20 years LOL.

Anyone ever been to Rocky Mountain Terrain Park near Carthage? Just found out about this place and thinking about a day or weekend pass. Looked them up online and judging from some pics I saw it looks pretty fun actually. And they seem to cater to all levels and will give guided trail tour depending on what gear you have. But wondering if anyone here has been and what ur opinion is. Worth a trip (and the money?)? Also sounds like maybe a membership is required.
Anyway, It's about an hour and half to 2hr drive from Portland area; but that ain't bad really. Might be worth checking out

I've heard of RMTP but have never been there. Supposedly there's one in Minot as well, Castle Ledge I think?

I tried getting to the trail I mentioned earlier but 2 of the 3 entrances were posted and the 3rd had a gate, but no posted signs. My parents live on the road this entrance is on and think I may be able to get permission from the Seashore Trolley Museum, on whose land the trail is on. So I'll give that a try.
