get together befor summers end in bangor

I'd like to get a group together and do a drive around the area maybe some trails or just a top down cruise. Being somewhat new to the forum I haven't seen much action in the Maine section of this site. Lets change that and get together for a meet and greet.

You all realize the OP was from last year right?

Poor guy has been sitting by his computer for 12 months and finally someone answered him!

Well since it appears to take a year to generate interest.....I propose that we start planning next summers Maine's WF Moosehead Excursion....maybe we could even invite people from other states? lol that way more than 4 people will show up?

Plenty of neat places to camp up there, miles of old logging roads and such to explore, there is crashed b-52 up on a mountain outside of greenvile and its Moosehead who doesn't want to take a trip there with their Jeep?

What say you?

im a first time jeep owner and live in ellsworth... i just got a 90 yj 4cyl 5spd in a trade for my bronco...i need to do a front hub but other than that it is in good shape. a maine jeep with no rust!!! my favorite wheeling trip was always bald mountain. it is a pretty steep hill climb up a rock face but no boulders. there is a beautiful over look up there and you can even see the airport and mt washington on clear days. i would love to get together with a group since the bronco guys now have nothing to do with me...lol...

Located in Jonesport (hour outside of ellsworth/2hrs out from bangor) I would definitely be interested in meeting up and hitting the trails. Winters almost here but we could get a run in before thanksgiving.

There's not much for winter riding. But come spring / summer, I'm sure there's plenty to do.

From Houlton. I think we should get a jeep club going, maybe make it so we can be legal on trails in Maine. I know around here we have miles and miles of trails but the wardens hate us. Doesn't make much sense side by sides can ride on trails but we can't.

Wouldn't happen to be the Coast Guard Station in SWH would it?
