Future MA Jeep JKU owner with questions

Sup guys. I'm considering getting a Jeep JKU and live in the Central MA area. Naturally I have questions and I'm hoping some of you won't mind answering them:

  • I saw a thread recently discussing MA laws on lift kits and it seems the law says to keep it under 2" but many are able to get away with a taller lift depending on where you go. How many of you have 3" lifts that have NEVER had problems passing inspection?
  • I saw on another thread someone recommended Elias 4wd Center in Townsend, MA for installations. Since I don't have much time or confidence in myself to do the work, I prefer professional help. Who else recommends Elias? Do you know of anyone else in the Worcester area?
  • Anyone with a 3" lift and 35" tires on a JKU? If so, please post some pics!

4x4 vehicles can go over 2" but there is some weird formula that determines how high. Something about wheelbase, I forget. I would think a 3" on a JKU would be perfectly fine.

Townsend is usually the go-to for professional stuff. I think there is a place on Franklin St. that does jeep stuff. Have seen the garage but haven't gone in to talk to anyone. However, there are A LOT of jeepers around here that will readily give you a hand with doing stuff yourself. They will even bring tools and everything. I keep telling RubiconRich to get ready to help and then I never end up buying my lift. Dudes gotta be exasperated with me.

Endangered species jeep in Holyoke is the best around. They are honest helpful and only do jeeps. It's worth the ride.

Shout out to Lou and Chris at Elias. They did my lift/wheel/tires upgrade on my new 2015 JKU. Good people and they do a great job at a reasonable price. I'm looking forward to doing some other work with them in the future!
