Has anyone received a cylinder head replacement for ticking?

Hi
I have a 2013 JKU Sport S which has engine ticking noise.
Has anyone had a cylinder head replacement or service from a dealership regarding this issue?
If yes, could you tell me what dealership and location are?
Thank you.

Mine is at the dealership now. It started with the ticking but I was told they won't replace the head based solely on the ticking. I waited until it threw a code P03032 - miss fire on cylinder 2.
There's a whole procedure Chrysler puts the dealer through before they will replace the head.
I was told when the valve burns and doesn't seat anymore is when they replace the head.
I'm in the Springfield area.

Oh, it is good to know that a dealer will not do anything for ticking only at this point without any code, right?
I am supposed to visit a dealership next week for a check-up but should wait the code popped up.
Please, let me know any updated info with your JKU.
Thank you so much.

My buddy just had the head replaced on his '12 with 25k miles.
He got po302
Took it in
They reflashed his rig( which makes it idle higher so you cant feel the hesitation feom the misfiring cylinder)
Told him that if the CEL comes on again, to bring it back and expect to leave it.
His light came back on the next day, dropped it off, and picked it up a couple days later with a new head.

I have 36k miles on my '12 so far and haven't got the CEL for the misfire..............yet.

I work at a Jeep Dealer in parts and we do about 4-5 heads on the 3.6 per week but they are for all modles using the 3.6. They fixed the head issue halfway through production on 2012's my build date on my JK is 7/22/12 so they had ironed out the head issue by then and I have had no problems with my JK thus far. I just hit 24k this week and have had a bunch of issues with my JK but just not with thw head lol.

Thanks.
Mine is Sep, 2012 but someone said it doesn't mean the engine was built on the same month. So there is still a possibility that mine may have a defected head. I don't need to worry about it or just wait until the code pops up. If nothing happens until my warranty ends (5 years/10,000 miles), do I have to purchase extended warranty for just in case?
Thank you again.

I wouldn't worry too much until you notice a ticking noise or throws the code. As far as the extended warranty I'm not a hundred percent sure on that and instead of asking the dealer incase they up sell I would call the Jeep Chrysler hotline and speak to somebody there. I work at a dealership and I don't even trust the people here. lol

Well mine is throwing codes, just had computer reflashed and about 10 miles later the light is back on very ruff idle all the signs. Anyone recomed a dealer that doesn't hire high school drop outs? would like to have a reputable dealer do the work if that is possible.
