Piping plover:little bird,big power

Another beach is closed.F... BS! Not happy!! Why can't their golden,no touch nests be moved? Easy way out just close'em up.Beach people keep their pays.We pay full fees for what? The season is short enough now remove another third.Watched on the news, interviewed the (whatever his title is) Ranger Rick in Duxbury sez:It's a privileged not a right to travel on the beach!
Got to give Sandy Neck credit for a warning instead of driving their and getting turn away:
IMPORTANT SANDY NECK BEACH PARK NOTICE:

The off road beach (ORV) will be closing at 11PM on June 7th, 2013. The ORV beach will remain closed to vehicles from June 8th for approximately one month (worst case scenario). The closure is due to a plover nest that will be hatching at the Beach Access Trail. We are sorry about the inconvenience and we will be opening the beach to vehicles as soon as we are able. Beach closures are required under both state and federal law when piping plover chicks are present.

Note: ORV permits are not valid for the parking lot. No Campers will be allowed to park overnight in the parking lot during the ORV closure. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

ROFLMFAO !

The little suckers have struck yet again! I'm telling you, I'm down for a stealth SEAL Team mission @ 0300hrs. and snipe the little bastards right out of their nests! Then we could pluck a few and string em' up as a warning to the rest of their little friends

^^ Sad to say but that is probably the only way for beach use again.Or lets just let the little fuckers hatch more fuckers, make more nests, close more beaches. When is it going to end.If environmentalists can't move the nests out of our tax and fee paying nesting area friggen population will grow and beach travel will be a thing of the past.Unless they somehow disappear HMMMM......
