Shops around Saugus/Melrose??

Hi all;

I live in Melrose and need to have an aftermarket front and back bumper installed. Does anyone know of a good place to have that done nearby?

Thanks in advance!

Is this for a TJ or JK? Either way if you already have the bumpers I cant see it taking more than an hour or 2 to do it yourself. I can swap TJ front and rear bumpers in <10 min.

It's a JK. I tried taking the stock bumper off and couldn't budge the nuts holding it on. The only tool I have capable of it is your standard socket wrench. That plus the angle you need to be at made it difficult.

Anything else I could try to get that sucker off?

Ill do it for $20 and a case a beer!

Sorry couldnt resist......'

But on a serious note I strongly suggest checking out northeastjeep.org Its the jeep club that I belong to and there are quite a few perks on being a member. One example is we just had a wrenchfest on Sun where we all lend a hand working on club members jeeps. So you pretty much get free labor on your jeep as long as you help out as well.

I also need to take off my stock 99 rear and put on a warn receiver bumper. I've been putting it off not knowing how hard it would be. I've read that some people needed to drop the gas tank to do it. I checked out northeastjeep.org but it seems to be based in CT. Do they do much in RI/MA as well? Sundays like that would be exactly what I need to get more hands on knowledge. Is that 20 bucks and beer offer still on the table?!

Well we do have quite a few members and events in Mass and RI. If you were closer I would gladly help. I would join the board, post up an intro, then maybe offer someone $20 and some beer to lend a hand and Im sure someone closer will lend a hand. Just remember there are 2 sides to the forum. The side that is open to the general public and a side for members. Most the good stuff stays on the general side.
