I live in Attleboro but I am stock with 33's don't have time to get out lately but love the woods. Some day when I can afford it I want to go up 4" with 35's but need to upgrade axels first. Oh yea and need to get a new oil pan and steering linkage as thay got bent and dented from letting my friend try the wrangler out.

Just registered for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler, PA. 6/14 thru 6/16. This looks like a really good time - kinda like a Sturgis for Jeeps! 9 hour drive from here so not too, too bad.

Looks like the new JK's are gonna run the route of the old Dodge Caravans! Gotta love Chrysler Group LLC!

No testing required in China!!!
Back in the late 80's 0r early 90's the Dodge Caravan had a major recall on aluminum heads, then again on transmissions. Parts were back-logged sometimes up to 6 to 8 weeks, plus repair time! You think they would have learned their lesson!

I definitely want to go out with the group every Saturday again, kept in touch with TJ and he still plans on going out again. I have a transmission to fix before I can go again. It's stuck in "cripple mode" due to electrical issue.

I'm starting to inherit your luck!

Ripped half of my right LCA mount off last Saturday winching up some steep rocks while out wheelin with a couple of Club members. So now I'm gonna cut off both of the factory mounts and weld on some nice heavy duty non-castor Currie mounts with skids. Doing away with the Cam bolts and adding adjustable UCA's. Also noticed my rear pinion seal has started to leak pretty bad, AND my clutch is starting to slip like a bastard under load.

Looks like I'll be spending a few weekends UNDER the Jeep instead of IN it! So much for the money I had put aside for rocker guards

Oh my god, that's a pain in the ass. But hey with a bad can come an upgrade, and it's gonna be great. Yea, my luck had been crappy lately lol. I know how you feel, I had money saved for bumper upgrades but that's gone now haha.

Just an FYI.

Rich posted this yesterday in another thread:

Note: said he did not care about OHV sticker. I did not have one anyways.
But that's part of that new OHV law. Why do I need a helmet I said when I'm in a closed top Jeep? That's the law.$250 fine if you don't have a helmet. Why wouldnt he just let us go and then bust us?

I added some links for more info on the subject. You should all review it and be aware.

that made all the changes to
C/90B http://www.malegislature.gov/laws/generallaws/parti/titlexiv/chapter90b

and 323/CMR/3.0
http://www.mass.gov/eea/grants-and-tech-assistance/enforcement/environmental-police/boat-and-recreation-vehicle-safety-bureau/323cmr30.pdf

that's mentioned in that brochure. It's actually not a new law; it went into effect Oct 2011. I guess it's taken a year for them to fatten up their coffers to start spending money out of it.

If you read the first section of C202/Acts of 2010 and you'll see that all money collected from associated fines/fees/forfiture associated with all RV's in the state of MA now goes directly into a fund to be used "mainly" for EPO enforcement of the new R&R's. Basically they have written themselves a law that gives them an unlimited supply of overtime money. There's also a clause in there that is "supposed" to divert money from this fund for the purpose of land acquisition for new trails and trail maintenance, but I guarantee you will NEVER see money spent on that. (Future lawsuit! I hope so!)

I also love the fact that now they want OHV/RV's (legally registered and insured for use on a public way) to ADDITIONALLY register as an OHV/RV whenever it's used off-road. Another $40 every 2 years on top of your regular registration fees!
I HATE THIS F**KING STATE

Hey everybody, I'm from Westford.. my friends and I have been looking for some spots in the area for some time, and it seems like nobody wants to share without joining a club which isn't really something that I'm looking to do/can do.. I have done some research on the Freetown State Forest and it seems like cars/trucks aren't allowed, can anyone confirm or deny this? Also if anyone knows of any other spots within an hour that they would be willing to share via PM, that would be much appreciated.

Most clubs and people won't give up where to go but what can help is Google maps from the satellite view. Explore with that for potential places
