I realize it's probably too late..but the power lines just before the Mass Pike down on Rt 49. From Spencer travel south until you go over the Mass Pike, now turn around and head back towards Spencer as you cross over the MP now look on your right for the power lines and trail...it's also across from the State Park...can't remember the name.

Power lines are not legal wheeling in MA. Good way to get more legal places shut down. If you want to wheel, join a club and keep the few trails that are still legal open. Or find out which ones actually are legal and stick with those!

There are a lot of trails in Spencer and they are all illegal to ride on. They are only legal for the "snowbirds" which is a snowmobile club. If you take your jeep on them someone will call the police. I know from experience. The power lines are tempting but a major no no. Can anyone recommend a club located in the Spencer area or recommend a legal trail?

Here's my issue with a club. Most of the times they meet, it is on weekends. Between work (ft firefighter medic) and national guard duty, my weekends are nil. i would make make 1 or 2 meetups a season, can't see paying a year worth of dues for that. So basically I am looking for a few easy trails that my toddler son and I can explore during weekdays. Maybe in forests Nothing crazy, just like to get the jeep A little muddy.

You can always try a state park Struppa79. Rutland State Park is open when the weather gets better. The main roads are a bit overly easy, but there are some side roads that could be fun for you and your family.
