I got stuck off-roading yesterday with a buddy of mine on a big pile of snow and lost traction on all my tires. Went to call for some help but I realized, I have NO wrangler buddies. I had no one to call. My friend and I had to shovel out underneath my Jeep to get out of there, took hours and it sucked. Worst part is all I needed was a little pull from one of you guys and we would've been out in a second.
Anyway I'm looking to get together for an off-roading day down in the Freetown/Fall River State Park, I've never been down there. Post here if you're interested.
Well I'd assume you have, I do in fact live in Hanson. If you're ever looking for someone to come out riding with you, or if you ever get stuck like I did, let me know. Been trying to convince my buddies into getting a Wrangler, or at least any 4x4, but none of them can really afford it. I want to go down to that Freetown/Fall River State Park sometime soon, you ever been down that?
Good stuff, I have never been down to freetown but i've heard a lot about it and I would be down for going and checking it out. I have a few local friends with jeeps and other 4x4's in the area. There is a spot probably 30 minutes from your house that me and a few pals always go too. If you haven't already check out Ocean State Jeepsters: Rhode Island's Premier Jeep Club all you have to do is sign up on the forum will out an application and post up an intro, you will then get full access to the forum and events. There is a trail ride on the 23rd of February that I will be going too.
I just sent in an application, wasn't sure if there were any clubs around here, never really looked into it. Hopefully I'll see you up there on the 23rd. By the way I threw your name down from where I heard about them. Much appreciated duder...
@mcap1221 I was going to take a ride down to Freetown/Fall River State Forest today, but didn't want to go down with no one and snow coming down. Maybe next Saturday the 22nd I'll take a ride down if your down.
@mack0092 I sent the application email last night, just waiting on the response. Do you know where the trail is that day or how far it is?
its about an hour and 45 mins away, posting locations on public forums is a no-no. If you get full access to the forum you will be able to see the meeting spot that everyone meets at prior to driving to the trail.
