Where to get work done?

I am new to Rhode Island, I am looking for somewhere that deals in lifting Jeeps. I want a simple lift, I will buy all the parts, just need the labor work done.

Looking to put on a 2 1/2" lift and some bigger tires for now. Any ideas on where to take it?

I have heard about a place called "401" but I looked at a website of theirs and I am not sure yet.

Any help would be great!

Did you ever find a reputable mechanic to do this work for you?

Like you, I want to add a lift to my Jeep but I can't get it done myself so would prefer a referral from someone who trusts an experienced mechanic in the area.

I had a 2.5 inch lift put on by Exeter Auto Repair a few weeks ago n everything seems good. That was the first time I went to them though so not sure if they always good. I dont remember for sure but i believe they charged $64 an hr for labor. Had lift put in along with transfer case lowering kit.

I ended up going to Clare jeep in middletown RI, they have trained people from mopar for mopar lifts and trained people for AEV wrangler lifts. They are awesome and some more guys from my club have gone and no problems from them. They are the only retailer in the state for AEV parts and they get you life time guaranteed mopar parts for their lifts also. They did a great job and I have n't had a problem with my jeep...

Super, thanks for the info. Just read in the AEV forum that Clare Jeep was recognized by AEV. Did not realize Clare was that up to speed though. Thanks
