Hey Now, kjeeper!
Here's some of the low-down from the GAJR web page:

5. Jeeps most have front and rear recovery points for the rock piles and mud trench.
6. Jeeps must have a roll cage or factory solid roof.
7. There will be rig requirements for the hard rock course.
8. If no forward movement is made after 5 mins Jeeps will have to exit the rock pile / mud trench. For the mud trench folks this may involve staff pulling your Jeep forward or backwards in the trench.
9. Drivers must adhere to all directions given by the staff.
10. If at any time you feel uncomfortable or feel you have reached your limit of driving skill let a spotter know and they will help you off the rock pile as quickly and safely as possible.

IDK what the req's are for the rocks but last year it was fun to watch! And there was a little carnage, here and there...

Hope to see you there!

I was thinking about heading out about 8. Gotta get my crew nailed down for who is going. I will update the details as far as how many I have and where we are meeting and a more firm time later in the week. Hope to see everyone there.

What a cool event. Couldn't make it last year and almost worked and did not go this year.
Talked to Clayton off road for a good 1/2 hour. Totally impressed me with his knowledge of jeep suspensions. Bought a few t-shirts and u-joints for my front axle. TNT offered their display aluminum skid system... Was not ready to drop $1300. Oh and won a neoprene fire extinguisher holder from Q-tec

That kid had one of the most impressive climbs of the afternoon I thought. Nothing too special about his Jeep, Ian spotting him, almost flips it, has about 4 foot under his rr tire, everything comes to a stop for a photo op, lol.

Was my first rally, had a great time. Was a bit unimpressed with the mud pit tho. Stockers were making it no problem. I get it, make it so everyone can play, but make two runs. Hell, on Jeeper entrance fees alone they made over $7k, then you had had spectators.
Rock pit was interesting, especially with Ian spotting. He did the best job of it. He moved a lot, gave a lot of directions, tried to help. The staff on the other hand... Not so much. Hand signals mostly, sometimes they'd talk, but def not overly helpful, and def didn't seem to care much about rig damage, where Ian gave a warning and let you decide, they just told you go. I'd rather have people I trust sporting me, that have my best interest I guess.
Vendors were great, lots of good deals there. Talked at length to TNT, great folks! Great products!
