clutch pedal bearings

I have to replace the clutch pedal bearings and was able to acquire them--I have the chilton book and the breakdown but it does not explain just how to get the pedal off and the new bearings in ( i assume they are pressed and it won't be a problem) it looks as if the bolt comes out right to left but I have been unable to get it to move--any help on this would be great the jeep is a 93 YJ--thanks Mac
