Best part is you have a typo as well; not that I don't agree with every word you said.

New to the form. From New Fairfield / Danbury area. I don't have my Jeep yet I just ordered it. Wow what a process. I went back and forth at least a thousand times on what transmission to get and when I finally went with the auto I spent another day deciding what axel ratio to go with. If it weren't for this site I don't think I would have figured it all out. Thanks everyone , great site

Now someone please tell me how am I supposed to wait 8 to 10 weeks to get my new toy?????

Jim

Drool a lot when you see jeeps on the streets in Danbury.

I may be lucky, but I drove away 30 days after putting in the factory order. I think it must have been the last day for putting it in before they allocated all the production. The good news is that you won't have to wait all winter to take the top off!

They seem pretty helpful, and inexpensive like you mentioned. I sold my bikini top 2 days after I bought my jeep, never thought I would use it and I never wished I had one, sun feels good on a hot summer day!

Depends if you care if your jeep gets wet when it rains. It is a cheaper alternative to a soft top; for me I am buying a bikini top for my CJ and a cargo net for the back to keep all my crap inside. Plus like you said it is much cheaper so there is a big benefit.

Are there bikini tops that allow you to keep the back seat in or do you have to take out the back seats?

I know the ones for my CJ allow you to keep it in. I would assume that the other ones do as well. I know there are two different type, one for a family roll cage and one just for the front seat. Got a link to the cargo net, I may be buying one but currently I am trying to get a guy on the forum to custom make me one from paracord.

I keep my back seat in cause I have a family, but I too just like to take everything off and enjoy the sunshine. I am going to be looking for either a new soft top or hard top for next winter. I have an '06 white Golden Eagle.

I bought this one back in October. I bought it from Capital Dodge Jeep in Willimantic. I actually met the previous owner she was a really cool chick. She put a lot of work into that Jeep. I can't wait for the warmer weather.

Truer words were never spoken! No lie when you hear that JEEP stands for Just Empty Every Pocket...yikes. Between some bad ass bumpers I am looking at, a winch, lift kit, pipe doors, soft top, and stereo upgrade...yeah....I'm sooooo broke.

I've been there before, but not with my Jeep. Is the trail doable in a stock Jeep?
