Same goes for you!!! Were using wood stove to stay warm and a grill to cook on.. got a generator going a few hours a day to keep the the fridge cold and food from going bad..
Same, but were burning coal...
Power is expected sunday night / monday morning at midnight for windsor... Lets see how well they do... Ugh... I really want a shower... these sponge baths aren't cutting it for an office environment...
What have we got?
We have one heavily armed Recreational Vehicle
Well hopefully they will be ahead of schedule.. my street is so bad there saying 2 weeks or so.. mail man wont even deliver here.. had to cut holes in the walls of trees just so people could leave the street and get warm.. there is gas in manchester.. lines are pretty much gone now.. weird thing is the town and police have not been out at all till today.. most people around here have cleared the roads on there own.. lots of very angry people here....
Failed attempt at charging the main trans lines between WL/W/EW. Last I heard was tomorrow for another try. No guarantee that power will be restored at any given area though. Well, worse case is sun/Monday. I have a friend in Enfield--met him at at Cabala's ( jeep M&G )-- I'll have my self a hot shower and will be able to wash some cloths there. good thing. Sponge baths suck ***

Still in the dark in Farmington. I hot wired the oil furnace to run off the generator. So we had heat and hot water for the last two nights. House was down to 48 degrees. I've been driving around each night on my way home from work, and I haven't seen any progress. Lines and trees still in the roads, and not one crew to be seen anywhere. In all my travels, the only places I saw power were on Rte. 6 by Fieneman Rd and by UCONN Med Center. Everywhere else was dark. The town went from 96% out to 89% last night, so hopefully we'll be restored soon. Murphy and Scarletti's in the Exchange is open if anyone needs a hot meal.
it's terrible here in farmington! at least you have a generator too. i saw so many crews in plainville but no one's out our way. but, they're saying we'll get it back sunday on the CLP website (fingers crossed!) Hope everyones doing well and not getting cabin fever too bad
Still dark in my part of Farmington as of 7:00 AM today. There are cross streets on either side of our road that have power but athe few streets between them are still dark. I saw two different companies from North Carolina (PIKE and SU) in town this morning, so I'm hopeful that the lights will be on when I get home tonight.
With heat, hot water and TV on generator power, no complaints because there are so many people that are worse off. Hope everybody else is up an running!
