Jeep show in Ellington, Sept. 14?

Last week I saw in the notices section of the local Reminder paper that someone applied for a permit to hold a Jeep auto show on Sept. 14 at 43 Lower Butcher Rd, Ellington.

Anybody know anything more about this possible event?

I believe it's the Great American Jeep rally or something like that. It's held at the four town fair grounds. It's been going on for quite a few years now if I'm not mistaken. Usually has a decent turn out.

no this has to be something different as the location for the show is very specifically 43 Lower Butcher Road not the 4 Town Fair location which would be 3-4 miles away.

btw, I just scoped out the location this morning on the way to the store, it appears to be part of the Bolles Jeep back lot, so I'll call them up and see if they are the ones asking for the permit.

Ahhh my mistake then. I wasn't sure of the exact location, and I remember there being a jeep rally at the 4TF grounds in september in the past

did some checking and the location is owned by Valley Truck which is a 4WD/off-road specialist. According to the person at the local Jeep dealership, this place holds Jeeps shows occasionally so it looks like if they get their permit from the town we will have a great Jeep get-together here in north-central CT come September (when it might finally stop raining every day like it is now).

Yes... I live 5 minutes away. It's a small shop but very large area of land. I believe there is 2 events back to back. One for jeeps and the other for trucks. Very popular mud pits and rock garden.
Check youtube for vids.

Yes September 14 at Valley Off Road is the Great American Jeep Rally. They also have a mud bog around the same time. They have to have it after they harvest the corn, because they use the corn field for parking! You can go to at Great American Jeep Rally for more info. It is 2 minutes from my house and last year there were Jeeps all over the place. I didn't have one at the time, but I plan on going this year!

excellent. I wasn't aware of last year's show or I would have been there.

sounds like a great event, see you all there.
