What's going on fellas? I just got a 2009 jeep wrangler. I joined the wrangler forum and came across the CT threads. I am stationed out in Montana but am originally from Portland CT and would definitely like to keep in touch with everyone so I can follow what's going on back home. It's nice to see some posts from some jeep owners from New England!

Thanks guys....I just got mine about a month and a half ago so it's still pretty stock. Ive been getting mixed advice from people around here.I'm looking to put a 3-4" lift with some 33" BF Goodrich all terrain tires or maybe 285/75 General Grabber AT 2 tires however I went to a few tire dealers and one said to stay the same tire size as my stock ones and the other one said do not go any bigger than a 265/70. Both said if I go bigger even with a lift kit I will run into problems, such as rubbing. I definitely want to go bigger and I see many aggressive looking jeeps out there. What do you guys think the best combo of tires and lift is without running into these problems? I'd rather get advice from the guys who have don't it already. Lol
You can run a 33 without a lift. You may get some minor rubbing on the flares. You can trim them or install a smaller lift.
4" is overkill for a 33" and opening a can of worms unless done right and the lift is complete.
2.5" is about perfect. It all comes down to tire size and budget.
