Ansonia here. I see a lot of jeepers in CT, guess there's not many on the forums. Not much southern CT people here either.

Hope everyone is safe after Irene. did a tour in town after the storm and had to 4wd thru some mud to avoid a down power line. it was my first practical use of 4wd since getting my jeep in July :-)

I live about 100 yards away from Meadow Road in Farmington which is right along the river. I thought I might give the Jeep a little bath, until I drove down there. The water was easily 3'-4' deep.

Looks like the same thing here in Bristol... Well at least some parts, the Pequabuck River was over flowing into most the town... Me and the Jeep got some alone time and some good use...

Hope Everyone is with power and Cable soon!

I hope so too. New Britain Ave is dark and I hear generators running still. My road is parallel to, and only about 50 feet from NB Ave and we never lost power. DirecTV was surprisingly consistent with hardly any rain fade. Some pixelization, but I never lost the signal for more than a second, even when the rain was at it's heaviest.

Meadow Road in Farmington was opened up yesterday. I drove through around 1:00 AM this morning and the smell of rotting crops was overpowering. What a shame, There had to be 3-4 weeks of corn destroyed plus all the other vegetables. My kids are really bummed about the pumpkins.

It is sad. I saw people in the public gardens yesterday just staring at their plots.

How did you do with power? We were very fortunate. We never lost power. I think New Britain Ave. was out until sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Long time reader of the forums with a post or two.

Not a whole lot done to my jeep but i have lots of paper wish-lists and dreams, albeit not deep enough pockets just yet.
Actually looking for a possible jeep club in my neighborhood, too bad i missed the cabela's meet & greet a while back.

edit: Peepers, i thoroughly enjoy your avatar

I found it right after someone vandalized my jeep...

I will be installing it on my jeep eventually.

Colchester here....

Wish I saw the cabbelas meet earlier. Although getting my poor jeep down route 2 to get there would be a task...top speed of 50-55 it hates pavement and sees little of it.

A canal was flooded over today in Windsor locks, I'm guessing 1 0r 2 feet.
I hit it going like 30mph, was in the morning half asleep-- roads were dark. Scared the crap out of me. I slowed down and continued till the end.
I'm now worried about by diffs/tranny/TC, hopefully they did not take in water, will see.

Looks like I have something to do on Sat

Passed through there as the police were closing the section of road. It was def up to 2 feet by then. Watched a school bus go through infront of me so no supprises but it was about up to the belly of the bus. Crossed into East Windsor and did the "crash" through high water I didn't see just after the Dunkin Donut. Water EVERYWHERE and no vis. Startled the hell out of me. Thank god for the 4" lift or I was swimming home. LOL
