Gettin' her back in shape

This winter sucked for working on the Jeep. Coming into the winter, there was a bunch I needed to do, most preventative. I only got the rear U joints done.

So, tomorrow the next step. Front axle Ujoints, hub bearings, and all four ball joints.

The shitty roads and wheeling last season took a tool on the linkage. I can twist the steering linkage by hand easily. So, next week all new Moog ZJ tie rods!

Then I can get to installing the stainless steel brake lines and hoses, and getting a Savvy fuel tank skid ordered up!

I can't wait to get back on the trails!

Step one complete. New bearings, U-joints and ball joints up front. I found the source of my vibes. One of the hub/bearings was shot and one U-joint was on the way out. I'm sure the rest was close behind.

The ball joints were a bitch.

Next week, tie rods!

Just finished installing a Savvy aluminum fuel tank skid on my 98! It's sweet!
