Should be finishing it up tonight. Gotta clean up some transitions and find some good music to put in behind it.

Yea, same reason as the last one. 3rd party content blah blah blah, the owner of the songs restricts it to only show on computers.

I was a little concerned with the my chemical romance song, but they were some catchy ones in the last vid. But Dropkick F@ckin Murphy's! That brings it up 2 notches! Awesome vid. Can't wait for another day trip if it comes about. Super freaked out about hydrolocking tho. Need to learn the ways of a Jeep master...

Haha, I was watching the vids from the first trip and the Na Na Na song popped in my head. The song just matched up perfectly with the dips and splashes at some points. Dropkick was more of a drunken decision, ha. Nothing like drinking whiskey and blasting some Irish music. That's usually when I find my inspiration.

I was worried about hydro-locking. We even had an '11 hydro-lock that day. But I gotta say, I don't think I could have hit some of those puddles harder. The pentastar fills the engine compartment more and blocks most of the water from getting that high so I think I'm safe.

I noticed that with the Pentastar that it fills the compartment pretty well. (Mines a 12 JKS)

I think I'm paranoid by a mildly popular Jeep vid floating around (I looked, not hard enough, ill keep looking) where someone with a black Rubi, out west I think, hits some water and boom...he's done. The water was maybe 12". Although a commenter on that vid said the wrangler kicked up too much (ie too fast).

In either case, I still think a snorkel would probably be a good investment. A few hundred bucks vs the case of destroying an engine. I can DIY a snorkel. An engine is still out of my reach.

Been playing the Murphy's alot lately since the new album came out a few months ago. Can't really go wrong with drunken Irish music.

Yeah we have our favorites. We have been out there about 6 or 7 times so far. I'll give him a ring to coordinate where we are going to meet.

So here is my perspective of the April 7th trip. Its not the best video because the mud got onto the windshield where the wipers don't get and that's where my GoPro was. I gotta find a better location for it. Also, the GoPro was accidentally set to the lowest quality. But, it still works so here it is:

Ladies and gentlemen, the difference between someone who knows what they're doing when editing videos vs. me, someone who doesn't, haha. This is a sweet vid. Nice editing too. I didn't get to the sand pit last time. I didn't want to risk another tire since I was already on a spare that wasn't mine. Looks sweet over there though. Maybe next time.

Yea, I'm gonna try to swing it. I was thinking about doing a "how to" vid, although I'm afraid most of it will be me cursing at the underside of my Jeep. Maybe I'll make it a comedy. ha.

Honestly, it's the best kit I've heard about and for only $750 with the shocks it ain't bad. I'll let you know how the ride is once I get it on.

I have Mickey Thompson Sidebiters waiting on 35" Duratracs.

I thought about developing a horrible illness last night so I work on it today but alas, work beckons.

I hate when work gets in the way of getting things done. Especially if its for my jeep. Let me know how you like the ride. My timeframe for lift/tires is mid to end summer.

Lots of summer work makes it easier to buy but harder to install.

I'd be in for Sat. As long as someone knows where they're going around the trails. Been there a few times but still don't know my way around.

So do we have a head count for who is all coming? Weather looks good. Should be a great time.

So I copped out and got a shop to install it all for $2100. That includes 5 35" duratracs (tires, mount, balance), wheel alignment, lift installed, and a rental car till they're done. Tires, mount, and balance with road hazzard were $1750. Cheapest I've found anywhere around me. So $350 to install a lift was basically a steal in my opinion.

Now I'm driving this hot bisnatch for the day. BOOM:

That's right. WAAAT? Crank windows, hell yea. Seating for 6 PLUS the drive? Psshh, you know it. And acceleration like you neva SEEN. 0-60 in a cool 12 seconds on the down hill. WHAT WHAT!?

For those who think owning a Jeep is all fun and games, Proxy404 has proved them wrong. We do go through some hard moments in our lifetime as Jeep owners when we cannot ride our Jeeps. Proxy404, I have some hats, dark glasses and long trench coats I can lend you while you drive that... (I can even say it)...thing. Better times are coming. Hang in there.
