Lee, I'm going with the frame repair sections from Auto rust. Hopefully I'll be back on the road next week! (Jim G, btw)

Yea, was a typo. Meant to just write Jim, but must have had my hand on the "C" key. lol

Good luck with the frame repair, and let us know if you need any help. Even just a second set of hands can make a big difference....

Thanks Lee. We'll be good. I'm mostly worried about the brake and fuel lines running down the inner of the left frame rail. Hopefully it will go smoothly.

Could always buy some spare fuel/brake line now, and a couple of fittings. Replacing/Repairing the lines is easy, especially in that spot.

I'm doing the trans mount while it's apart. I also have a roll of 3/16 coated brake line. The brake and fuel lines are my biggest concern. Other than that cleaning the area to be welded is going to be a time consuming pain in the ass, especially on the inside of the rails. Tomorrow's the day.

Put a wire wheel in a grinder. And hit it up. After you degreace it.

Nice! Now you have to get back to that trail, and make it up without breaking this time!

No trails or beach until I get the frame paint that comes in a can and has the long stick that you can stick in the frame. I POR-15'd the lower half of the inside and the whole outside of the section, but I need to do the inside.

Obviously this will happen sooner rather than later as I would still like to hit the beach while it's still warm enough to not need waders.

Check out the Auto Rust website. They have a link to a write up in a 4x4 magazine that has some good pics.

I was hoping to get some internal frame paint through work, but the Eastwood stuff seemed the best route. So three cans are on the way. The sooner the better. I may make a trip to the beach, but the trails are out before I paint the internals.

The Eastwood Internal Frame Paint was waiting for me when I got home from work today. After a couple brewskis I'll paint it up. No wheeling tomorrow though. I have to wire a bathroom addition in my house, and I want to get on the bike for the first time this summer. Island Beach Tuesday, though.
