Looking for installer for a 2" lift kit in Northern NJ

I'm about to put in my 2" Mopar lift, and wanted to avoid the dealer for cost reasons and also wanted to give a local shop some business.

I know there is OK4WD down south, however, that would be completely out of the way.
I know there was a place on Route 17 South, called Kryptonite or something like that, but I recall seeing posts where people were not very happy with their service.
Can anyone help a newb out?

Just had my jeep lifted by the guys at The 4x4 Place. There knowledge and work was exceptional. Pricing was very very reasonable. Could not be happier. Will def go back for any future mods or repairs.

Do most work myself it's easy. Just buy some pizza and bev and few guys get together and do installs, you learn more about your own rig and how simple this is instead of paying a shop to do it for you.

I agree on Total Performance. Chris does excellent work!! Total Performance is the way to go in northern NJ.

I know a guy that recently had work done at the 'The 4x4 Place'.

He was quoted one price and when he got the final bill it was 'thousands' more than the estimate. Additionally the work completed was very poorly done.

I think he's going to the Better Business Bureau.

I wouldn't let them touch my truck!!!

It may not be north Jersey but No Excuses Inc. (Jack) in New Egypt is THE Jeep guru. I've been using him for years and, besides being an overall nice guy, he carries more info about Jeeps in his head than some websites!

Has anyone use 402 Motors?

It looks like they've been doing some interesting custom work with the JK8 kits. I'm not planning anything like that but would like to get off the stock suspension.

One of my buddies is a mechanic in wanaque. While he doesn't specialize in only 4x4 stuff he works on my jeep all the time. Lifts, gears, axles. He does it all at a really fair price. Pm me if u r interested in his contact info.
