NJ Lift laws

Anyone know if you still need to get a special inspection for lifted vehicles in NJ, or can I just go to a regular inspection station? I have 35's on a 4 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body lift.
NJ MVC site is all stuck in the past. Says there are 3 inspection stations for high lift vehicles, but one of those is closed. I'm in Northern NJ and don't feel like going to southern NJ for a stability inspection.
Something tells me there has to be someone from NJ with a lift on their jeep

I was under the impression that Jersey only checks emissions now.

Just go. Whats the worst that could happen? You fail. Then you know what you need to do. When I went to the regular inspection station they didn't even check the height this time.

Thanks - I kind of figured it's up to local law enforcement, but the state mvc still has 2 inspection stations for high lifts...I was going to take the road of just go until warned then figure out what to do.

But inside I have a feeling my wife is going to love me even more with this one .

Anything over 4" from stock still has to go threw the high rise inspection. They only do emissions unless your elevated http://www.liftlaws.com/new_jersey_lift_laws.htm

So what's the highest lift that has gone through the High Rise inspection? I measured to the bottom of my doors and I'm at 34.5". Will this make it through? Or am I thinking too much about it?

Thats because with your lift you dont need a stability test or any of the stuff some ppl in this thread are talking about.
