Hey guys I will be setting up a meet for Sunday march 24th sometime in the morning. I want to get as many people together whether your a beginner or a expert! I would love to see new faces and show you guys some trails that Sparta has to offer. I have a 2012 stock wrangler and it gets threw all the terrain so don't worry of you do not have modifications. Please post what time I good for you do I can set up a reasonable time that can accommodate everyone. Here are some pics from last meet up !! Hope to see a lot more faces. If you have friends tell the
To come as well ! The more the better !!!!
Last time some guys were at,Wharton some a holes ran a cable across the trail. Destroyed the windshield but could have taken off someone's head. Theynr getting a little carried away with that shit down there.
In such a vast area, it'd be really tough to find out who did this. Just shows that we need to be careful and watch out for similar occurrences. Avoiding the place is not the answer, as someone could do this anywhere...
My father had an incident like this when he was young. Luckily he saw it in time, dropped his on/off road bike, and tumbled under the chain. Bike hasn't left the garage since, over 20 years.
I just fixed a nail in my tire, I don't want to take it on trails if there's a chance a cable is going to take my window out or worse. If we happen to catch the guys doing it I say we drag them by their legs all along the trails (evil smilie)
Being a non-violent Jeeper I cannot agree with you in the punishment suggested for the culprits. But we could find out where they park their Toyota Prius and have Dirty Mike and the boys have an orgy in it (Soup Kitchen). Then we can have a momma raccoon give birth in it (have the placenta splatter all over the back window). We can have a guy take a dump on the front seat. And yes, last but not least, we can leave a deer vag-ina in the car. Not my original work, but suitable for these jerks.
It's bad enough setting traps like this. A jeep hitting something like this is bad but imagine some poor guy on a ATV, that would decapitate the poor guy.
Also, these are fire roads. The idiots doing this are setting themselves up for a felony conviction. Hope they get caught.
No. No pics. It was not here say. It was reported and was public. That does not stop me from being there. But it's no joke and there r people out there doing these things.
Larry, I'm up for anything. And I will continue to upgrade my TJ. Next on the list, winch and CB. I'm seriously considering the Warn VR10000. But I'll need to upgrade the front suspension to go with it. Right now I'm running a Teraflex 2in BB spacer kit with stock springs. I'm not sure what the next step is, but my 31s are new and I'm sticking with them. 2.5 inch? I'll probably still be OK as far as driveline vibes go.
That trip to Stokes area last Sunsday really hooked me!
I have the warn vr8k. In love it. Spools rather quick and never binds. It's one of those things where when you get stuck, u want to make sure ur not going to have a failure. Not saying the other winches are going to fail, but I've seen them crack, fray, and overheat. Buy it once, and never worry about it IMO.
