Also any 8k plus winch would be good. The warn is the best but u will pay top dollar for it. Quadratec and smiittybuilt work well for the money.

That's what I'm thinking. A good 2.5 kit. I may go with a VR8000, the VR10000 gives you 2000lbs more for only a hundred bucks.

The quadratec one is rated very high. I would run that then the smiittybuilt. The warn is major bucks. U less u plan on using that winch everyday

I have the warn vr8k. In love it. Spools rather quick and never binds. It's one of those things where when you get stuck, u want to make sure ur not going to have a failure. Not saying the other winches are going to fail, but I've seen them crack, fray, and overheat. Buy it once, and never worry about it IMO.

Qtec 9500. Honestly you don't need to spend $1000 on a winch. You just have to used it often. A happy wench is a used wench.... I meant winch....

Hi folks, I'm sort of new to this forum... I live in Stockholm (Hardyston Twp) & was wondering if there were any Stokes or Sparta rides coming up. I work a lot of weekends so I need to get lucky on the scheduling....
I have a 08 JKU, stock suspension if that would be sufficient... still a work in progress...
Thanks
Mark

Lar, I'm up for it. I'm probably going to order my winch and mounting plate tonite or tomorrow. Next problem, dealing with the weight of the winch. I've got a 2in BB spacer lift now, I'm considering options. I want her to ride level.

Ill be ready. Doing my tummy tuck and bl shoukd be done middle next week.
Well when u r ready upgrade the springs to a better spring and lift. Check out zone offroad. They r made by bds which I run and r much more cost effective. Just did my steering upgrade and exhaust this week. And heavy duty trans pan.

I've been doing some research, and some have had success with Rusty's 3in springs up front to compensate for the weight. The 2in spacers would be removed, of course. I'd leave the rear alone for now (2in spacers). I just want her to be level.

The first article I saw said he was on one of the gas pipeline trails. Then it changed to the ski slope. Strange.

Sad. I hope they make it out of this OK. My wife and son love coming out with me to the trails. So we ride the trails that are fun, not the ones "hmm..If we make it that would be fun".
