Picked up a couple of ticks off my son. Got home, strip search at the front door and then a shower. All good now.

Guys, after Kyle and Jim split, we found the creek trail. We rode it and had a good time as well. Great group great time. Thank you all.

Island Beach State Park. You can get a weekend pass. There are a few townships on Long Beach Island where you can run on the beach. I know Island Beach State Park the permit is supposed to be for fishing only. I think the townships on Long Beach Island have the same rules.
I don't think there's anywhere in Jersey that you can just drive on the beach just for the fun of it, you'd have to go to the Outer Banks for that.

From yesterday. Thanks again. I want to hit the Sparta trails again. If we commit to an entire day we can do Sparta and "Stokes". We can stop for lunch in either park and just hang out for lunch. What do you say guys?

That's pretty much it. I may head down there tomorrow to get my permit.

However, I actually want to fish. I am completely new to surf fishing, and still a novice wheeler. I've got some nice surf gear, are the stripers hitting there yet? Best bait shops?

My TJ has DC FC2s. 31x10.5. What should I air down to?

10-12 psi should be fine. I'd join you but I'm in need of new waiters

I need some waders myself. The main purpose of the trip is the permit. Then I'll cruise the beach a bit. Maybe I'll through a line in. I'll have it with me.

How do lures work there? In fresh water I only fish lures.

I can't got fishing this weekend but I love surf casting. I used to go to Betty and nicks bait shop but I heard they flooded out from sandy and may not re open. The Belmar marina isn't a bad spot to pick up bait but kinda far from island beach. We should meet up sometime and go jeepin/fishing. My two favorite hobbies combined!!!!

I hit Island Beach pretty much every Tuesday (day off) during the summer. Now I'll do it on wheels.

I've got plenty of fresh water experience, but I've never surf fished.

ANd Kyle, is looks like you won't be too far from me.

+1 to Betty and Nicks, but I'm not sure they are open again yet. I went down last month to do a beach cleanup and dune grass planting event and they were waiting on a roofer to either patch or replace the bait shop's roof. The whole place was gutted. We've been going to IBSP for 28 years now, always a good time.....

As for fish hitting...my father said he caught a few last time out, but most of them were short. Still a good time though if you're not worried about having fish to take home and just want to enjoy a day out there.

Nooo gixxer but thanks for reminding me becausei forgot lbw's name too... Fail.

I just ripped out all my interior carpeting.... It was kinda soaked and starting to smell... By soaked I mean I was wringing water out of it... I guess it's time for rhino liner. Anyone rhino line their jk yet? I'm thinking Hammerstein may have his jk looked pretty built...And yes I know there Are a bajillion threads on it.

Gonna be a project that's for sure.
