You went to sarco?!?! i was in there once 18 years ago in a friends 1974 Land Cruiser and we were chased out by the local pd. The only reason they didn't catch us was we got out through a back trail and lost them in the woods. i had alot of fun in that LC back in those days. (this was before i discovered Jeeps)

what is the deal with the pine barrens?
i undestand that you are allowed to go there and everything, but are there specific times, trails, or any other things you need to do before going?
I have a shore home down near atlantic city and i have been wanting to go there, is there anything i should know or do i just show up and enjoy myself? haha thanks, in advance

The only rules i've heard were no alcohol and no unauthorized bonfires. There are no special times or trails, just come out and enjoy. Oh i forgot, stay out of the Warren Grove Target Range.

that's not entirely true. some trails are restricted. you should go to the local ranger station and get a map of all the trails and find out which ones are closed to the public.

The Pines are a funny thing. you'll be taking a trail that has authorized postings marked all over, and then get to the exit, and find a massive sign stating NO MOTOR VEHICLES ALLOWED for people going the other way. I've never had a problem, never been yelled at, and never been asked to leave. Just be respectful and tread lightly. I HAVE been told to leave on an ATV, but those I know are not permitted in most areas.

Around me I go to a few spots towards Ft. Dix (don't want to publicly post names) and theres Whartons and Attisons. I'm down for a trip anywhere towards Toms River this summer or even down towards Tabernacle if anyones up for it. I'll be down in Seaside quite a bit once the Blue fishing season gets underway. I know at Island Beach State Park you just need to make it appear that you look like you'll be fishing and pay for a year permit and your good to go. I'll probably even be at LBI before the beach closes for 4x4s.
