Rahway , Soon to be Jeeper

Hey guys whats up, Checkin in from Rahway, I have been doing my reaserch on wranglers. Price being a major factor and then onto things that I do know like milage, wear etc. What else should I be weary of.
I have seen nice stock set ups with low miles and some high mile with lots of ad ons in the range of $4K
I know the best will be to find a kid who spent all his cash on his jeep only to commute to and from work, But I can only be so lucky.

I hope to learn much from you guys and maybe some day meet up for a trail blasting.
The most 4 wheeling i have done is the millstone river banks in my Full size bronco. Just a lil mud on the truck and not much of a challenge

welcome to the forum! dont' worry MOST of the jacked up jeeps in jersey are just for show. if you want to tell if a jeep has been seriously off-roaded, or off-roaded at all, there are a few things you can check for. look at the skid plates and the muffler if they are banged up, dented, and scrapped you've found yourself an off-roaded jeep. also, get under the jeep and look for caked on mud on top of the skid plates, inside the fenders and fender flares and in any other hard to reach place or crevice. you can also check for burned on mud on the muffler and exhaust.

so, your from rahway? cool. i was born in lawrence harbor, moved to sayerville at 5, and then my family finally setteled in hunterdon county when i was 7. i've been here ever since.

BTW, when you get your jeep you should check out Jeep® Jamboree USA - Home every year in May there is a jamboree in the pine barrens. it is a blast, my husband and i go every year. there are trails that are rated 1 (for beginners) through 6 (for more experienced jeepers).

good luck finding the one for you.

HAHAHA. .
You must know this about guys from your husband but You cant tell a guy that there is anything he cant do.
So of course I will be stuck on level six.

Just tliket the jeep in jersey mostly for looks, comment. Guys just being guys trying to show whos more macho.I owned a house in manville in 2007 during the flood( noreaster). The water was over my vans hood. i decided I wasnt going to lose it so I let it roll down the driveway,Untli the water level by my hood lowered then started her up and raced her in reverse creating a wave thus not sucking in any water up front.

If I would have sucked in water my wife would have killed me but It didnt and my macho trip saved our van.
LOL

Hi Muay, Good luck! I hope you have a garage for your new jeep! I got lucky with my jeep, the kid I picked it up from put a ton of work into it and kept it spotless. As for what others say, it's true right now it's a show truck, but I do have a gas tank skid plate, so i'm going to find out if she's been a dirty girl like Jgano mentions. If not i'll make sure to change that picture because I roll rugged.....
