Fort Meade Jeepers

Any of y'all from the Fort Meade area? I would love to find some people close to home to wheel with.

Sorry to res an old thread, but I frequent Severn/Glen Burnie/Dena and am down to wheel round or go in on a Rausch trip. Also, facebook is responsible for the degradation of society. That is all.

Have you been to Rausch? Thinking about heading up there next Saturday for their 101 thing. I'm new, and the jeeps pretty new and stock so stepping carefully.

I've never been to Rausch. The videos and pictures I've seen of some of the trails are pretty epic. I think I work next Saturday...grr...

You all looking to go out on your own or do the rausch 101 thing? I'm new and stock so going to do the rausch 101 intro thing. I emailed the guy that organizes the second-saturday-of-month rausch 101 sessions and he said he could put together one on a different day if interested.

I'm pretty much only free on Sundays, I work 6 days a week. I'm down for a 1-day Rausch trip depending. I'm always down to bash up something local too that way I'm not too far from home if something breaks.. and I'm not too far from post-wheeling margaritas and wings.

If you are careful and wheel with someone who knows what they are doing and stick to greens and a mild blue on your first day you won't break anything. Rausch is so much fun regardless if you're running greens or blacks. Keep in mind during the winter every trail rating goes up exponentially because of ice and or snow.

I had to look that up, nope! Yeah...in the healthcare field you have to work so many Sat, Sun, Mon, and Fridays. Makes it difficult to plan things with M-F people.

I'm interested in doing either the 101 or some easy trails with a group. I'll just have to check my schedule!

Thanks for the rausch tips.

The next 101 are 2/8 and 3/8. I'm hoping to do the 2/8 unless anyone wants to try to put together a sunday one. Thinking in these conditions I want someone to show me the ropes.

There are no local spots in Md unless you have expressed written permission to be on that property. $500 fine and upwards for tresspassing.

Support the sport. Visit an offroad park today.

This post sponsored in part by those of us who are tired of posts about wheeling illegally and the OP thinking it's okay. Thank you and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Thank you for your concern. But, it is private land and I have permission to wheel there.

I was just at Meade this past weekend. I just got my new baby (2014 JKURX) and have been breaking her in a bit. Working in news and production I don't have a "standard" week most of the time. Always looking for people who aren't on the M-F 9-5 schedule.

I'm a night shift nurse so I definitely have a weird schedule! Haha

Cool, if you, or anyone else for that matter is looking for company on a trail ride, hit me up! My Rubicon X is just on 32s right now, but I'll try and keep up haha.

Usually off Fri's. Everything else changes week to week.

I know this thread is a couple months old but I just found it. I live in Bowie but work on Fort Meade. New to the area so I am very interested in checking out the Rausch Creek place
