Western MD here. Anything exciting this way? I know MD's trails are closed but I'm so close to PA and WV.

Can anyone help me figure out what rims and tires to put on my 2013 jk. I am puting on a 2 1/2 inch lift, where i am confused is if the tire will be to wide. Do i need certain rims or spacers? Rims with a certain offset? Please help.

The wheel size can be determined by tire size. For some 2.5 lifts 35 in tires are what you could run. So the lift you're using will limit your tire size.
I'd sat 33x9.50R17 -33x12.50R17
Or in the case of a lift like Nth Degree (AEV)
35x10.50-35x12.50R17

I'd say answer these questions.
1) What lift are you using?
2) How tall of a tire?
3) What look/Trails/Ride are you looking for?

Then we could help a little more with your wheel choices. Most likely I'd say you're going to be using a 17x9 with a 4.5 back spacing. That wheel will fit up to a 12.50 wide tire that's 33 or 35 tall.

1)I was thinking 33 " tires. I am more interested in the looks than extreme offroading.
2)not sold on any particular lift yet, i like the rough country 2.5 spacer kit seems cheap and easy install. I cant find anyone in my area to do the lift so i probably am going to do it myself.
The 4.5 back spacing on the rim is what i was confused about. I assume when i look at rims it will say what the back space is.

I really appreciate your help, thanks Mike! Any oter tips would really be appreciated also.

Thanks again,
Dan

I work at a dealer. Our labor could be $$$ but you could try. Call me after 9am and before 8pm on weekdays. 410-879-5800. If you just want looks do a budget boost. It's very easy. If you're looking for tires that are wider then 10.50 you need 17x9 w/ 4.5 back spacing. I have a full off road shop here. You could buy everything you need here. That's up to you. I could get you in touch with a guy here to help you with that. If you want to look in quadratec I can get you my contact there. Whatever I can do to help. I sell new used used Jeeps so I can't really sell you anything. But I can help you figure out what may work best.

Dan, look into Element Offroad on Facebook. there's alot of people on there that will help you with your life. all you would have to do is set up a wrenching party and supply the food&beer and everyone will help you put the lift on

Are you planning on off roading? Just remember you get what you pay for and cheap might be satisfying now, but in the long run you may end up having issues with handling, durability, or you just may end up hating the ride.

I have a Rock Krawler 2.5" Flex that I can build on and a set of 9 way adjustable shocks. About $1,200 but I'll be able to dial the ride in the way I want and off road performance should be good.

Hi Everyone,

Picking up a 2013 JKU Sport (6MT) this weekend! Cannot wait!

I am hoping you guys can help with this question. I am installing the teraflex 2.5 coil lift with 35x12.5x17 tires. I've read threads upon threads about regearing. It seems it is necessary to get some gas mileage back etc. Any inputs on regearing? I am currently looking at the 4.56 gears for my manual jku.

Thanks everyone!
