Savage River State Forest

I know there's not much there, but I wanna get out and do something soon. Looking at going the weekend of October 8th. If anyone wants to tag along, you're more than welcome.

What difficulty are the trails there?

Apparently pretty easy, but depending on how the weather has been, you can run in to some fun water crossings and fun mud sections. I might try to go there and then either camp at greenridge or somewhere else somewhat close by that has primitive camping.

Are there any trails in Maryland you would recommend for a newbie?

I thought so too. But I looked up the park and they do have some trials open for ORV use.

All the fun stuff is shut down, but the easy stuff like savage is still open. I spent a lot of time at greenridge when I was younger, and I'd like to go back, buttttt it's closed.
