Anthracite anyone?

$125 for a permit for the year, for us in philly its a bit closer than Rausch Creek. By google earth it looks huge. Also seems like there might be a way in that doesn't garner a fee, if that's what your into. Started asking the locals in our facebook group. Just wanted to see if anyone here had interest or been there before.

(Anyone in Langhorne, Levittown, Feasterville or the like PM me I'll invite ya).

Sounds interesting but they need to spell out more about how many trails, what they are like etc before I put down that much money. I wish they had more info on their website.

I've had RAC permits for a few years now.
They give you a crude 11x17 map, and not too much info. There's tons of trails on their land though.
They got like 20,000 acres or something crazy.
Not sure if the Sunnyside area you posted is theirs, but I know they own a lot of the land around Shamokin that isn't the new AAOA park.
Reminds me - new year, I gotta get a new pass.

if it were per vehicle I would consider it but I usually have my 2 kids with me and sometimes my wife wants to come along so $500 per year is to expensive.

How do ya think it compares to Rausch? This would be roughly 30-45 minutes closer, and if I go a few times it'll come out to the same cost as there, if not cheaper if I go enough.

Rausch has more variety in levels of trails. You'd be hard pressed to find something like rock creek at RAC, I've yet to.
There's a lot more ground to cover at RAC though, if green/blue trail riding and general exploring is more your wheeling style, you would enjoy it.
Also, you say closer. There's a few spots that are closer, but there is tons of ground to cover with a RAC pass. A lot of the land around Centralia for example is legal with their land use. Also, there's some around Hazelton.
You would want some type of GPS, it would be easy to get turned around.

Jeepin_Dad, I agree, their pass system is a lot more structured for quad/dirtbike riding it seems, but they do let us play too so I can't blame them.
