No, it's not against the rules. We have craigslist links here all the time. It is not, however, allowed in the for sale area. If there are concerns about the rules here at WF please direct them to one of the admins.

Oh really? where do i put those links if not in the sale area? I posted there cause it seemed like the most logical place. I read the rules there and saw that i crossed them so there is no reason for me to try putting anywherr else cause it would be miscategorized. can i get a clear answer or point me to the rules regarding craigslist adds?

thanks, jim

Umm, my add is still posted in the for sale section, and it is a link to my craigslist add. Maybe the mods just didn't see it.

The for sale section is for members to post their items for sale. Not for pointing to good deals found here and there. We have in the past allowed links to various places in the general area and the locals, but would rather not have the forum full of sale items. After all, if you can find them on craigs list or ebay, so can someone else.

Use your best judgment when posting these things.

SB, your ad is still there because it was your ad. However, even when posting links to other places such as craigs or ebay, location and price are still required in the post or the thread will be deleted.

The rules are to keep the forum clean and easy to use so members can sort quickly through the for sale items and find things which best serve their purpose.

Hope that helps.

Thanks.
