Clutch not allowing a smooth first gear

I'm having trouble putting it in first gear. I push the pedal all the way to the floor, got plenty of fluid in res., clutch is in good condition, but I gotta really push it in fast and hard when at a stand still. Slave replacement?

Have you tried bleeding the clutch? There might be air in the lines keeping the clutch from disengaging all the way.

No, not yet. I was kinda thinking that the slave may not be pushing the clutch completely in. Could or does the slave "end/tip" ware out?
